Arsenal will resume their Champions League campaign this coming Wednesday when they face Porto in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.

The Gunners will look to end their losing streak in this stage of the competition and reach the quarter-finals for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

Sports Brief looks at their previous Round of 16 ties ahead of their showdown with Porto.

Arsenal's Champions League Round of 16 woes

Gunners lose to Barcelona (2010-11)

Arsenal drew Barcelona in the Round of 16 after they finished second in Group H. The Gunners gained the early advantage, beating the Catalan giants 2-1 in the first leg at the Emirates Stadium.

Robin van Persie and Andrey Arshavin scored two late goals in the second half to head into Camp Nou with the aggregate lead.

Arsenal looked to be on their way to the quarters after Sergio Busquets scored an own goal in the 53rd minute.

Xavi and Lionel Messi had other ideas, scoring two goals in a two-minute span to give Barcelona a 3-1 lead in the second leg and a 4-3 advantage on aggregate.

Gunners lose to AC Milan (2011-12)

Arsenal drew AC Milan in the Round of 16 after the Italian giants finished second in their group.

The Gunners had a mountain to climb after the first leg, losing 4-0 to Milan at San Siro.

Arsenal launched a furious fightback in the second leg, building a 3-0 lead at the half. Their rally fell short, though, as Milan held on for the 4-3 aggregate win, per the BBC.

Gunners lose to Bayern Munich (2012-13)

Arsenal drew Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 after they finished second in Group B. The Bavarian giants stamped their class in the first leg, beating Arsenal 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

There's no quit with the Gunners, though, who battled back in the second leg at the Allianz Arena. Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny scored goals to make it 3-3 on aggregate.

Unfortunately for Arsenal, their comeback bid fell short as they were eliminated on the away goals rule.

Gunners lose to Bayern Munich (2013-14)

Arsenal's tough luck with the Champions League draw continued in the 2013-14 season as they once again got Bayern Munich in the Round of 16.

The Bavarian giants once again defeated the Gunners in the first leg, recording a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium.

There was no magical comeback this time around from Arsenal, as the second leg finished in a 1-1 draw.

Gunners lose to Monaco (2014-15)

Arsenal drew Monaco in the Round of 16 after they finished second in Group D. The Gunners struggled in the first leg, losing 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

There's no quit with Arsene Wenger's men, though, who launched a stunning comeback in the second leg at Stade Louis II. Olivier Giroud and Aaron Ramsey scored goals to make it 3-3 on aggregate.

Unfortunately for the Gunners, their rally fell short as they were once again eliminated on the away goals rule.

Gunners lose to Barcelona (2015-16)

Arsenal drew another European powerhouse in the Round of 16 as they were paired once again with Spanish giants Barcelona.

The Gunners stood no chance against Barca, who recorded a 5-1 aggregate win.

Gunners lose to Bayern Munich (2016-17)

Arsenal faced Bayern Munich in the Round of 16 for the third time in seven years. The German side showed who's boss, crushing the Gunners 10-2 on aggregate in their Champions League tie.

Bayern recorded 5-1 victories in the first and second legs to hand Arsenal another humiliating loss in the last 16.

London Fashion Week appearance for Son, Saka

The Arsenal and Tottenham stars were spotted in the event as they are ambassadors for luxury brand Burberry.

Dele Alli, Ben Chilwell, Gareth Bale, and Martin Odegaard were also present at the event.
