FootballNicolas Jackson Speaks After Fuming at Enzo Fernandez in Chelsea Draw vs Man City
- Nicolas Jackson has downplayed his scuffle with Enzo Fernandez at the Etihad
- The Chelsea striker lashed at his teammate in their game against Manchester City
- Jackson set up Raheem Sterling's opening goal but was guilty of missing a clear chance
Nicolas Jackson has sent a message of unity on Instagram following Chelsea's impressive draw against Manchester City on February 17.
Chelsea frustrated the defending champions for long periods of the game before giving up their lead late in the game courtesy of a Rodri strike. The Spanish midfielder restored parity to cancel out Raheem Sterling's opener in the first half.
One of the major talking points of the game was when Jackson lashed out at his teammate Enzo Fernandez for getting in his way for a possible shot.
Substitute, Christopher Nkunku, laid off a pass to the Senegalese striker inside Manchester City's penalty box. Just as he was about to take the shot, Fernandez swooped in and took the shot off him, firing his effort wide, much to the frustration of the former Villareal man.

Despite Jackson giving Fernandez an earful, the 22-year-old downplayed the incident on social media, choosing to praise the team's unity in what has been a troublesome campaign for them.
"Well played lads. We deserved better but we keep fighting for each other."
Jackson's assist to Sterling was his third of the season, taking his goal involvement tally into double figures even as he continues to struggle with big chances. The striker was guilty of missing a clear-cut chance in the first half, with Ederson denying him in a one-on-one position.
The point took Mauricio Pochettino's side back to the top half of the Premier League table. They will have a chance to win their first silverware this season when they play Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday.

FootballSports Brief has also reported that Jackson was booked after getting substituted against Crystal Palace on February 12.
Jackson sprinted on the Selhurst Park pitch after Fernandez had scored to put the game to bed in favour of the Blues.
The game, which was poised for a draw, was won by Chelsea courtesy of late goals from Conor Gallagher and Fernandez.
