Paris Saint-Germain is seriously contemplating signing Victor Osimhen as a potential replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has stated his wish to leave the French club at the end of the season.
Mbappe, out of contract in the summer, communicated his decision to leave to PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi on Tuesday, and the Ligue 1 champions expect him to join Real Madrid.
According to ESPN, PSG sees Osimhen as a prime candidate to replace the Frenchman and is contemplating moving for the Super Eagles star in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old forward - who has just returned from the Africa Cup of Nations while on duty with Nigeria - has scored eight goals and provided three assists in 18 games so far this season for Napoli.

Osimhen, who formerly played for Lille in Ligue 1 and was signed by PSG's current football director, Luis Campos, is still one of Europe's most sought-after attackers.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to social media to kick against the possible transfer of Osimhen to PSG after it emerged the Super Eagles star was a top target for the Ligue 1 champions.

Another fan advised Osimhen to consider moving to England rather than play for PSG.
