Ivory Coast defender, Wilfried Singo, received a heroic welcome following his return to France to join his AS Monaco teammates.
The 23-year-old played a role as the Elephants came from a goal down to beat Nigeria and win their third Africa Cup of Nations on home soil.
Singo was a second-half substitute in the 2-1 win at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium last Sunday in Ebimpe. Before the final, he had made cameo appearances in the knockout stages including a remarkable victory over Mali.
In a video shared on social media, Singo was given a surprise welcome with his teammates dancing to the popular Coup du Marteau song from the Nations Cup.

Singo delivered a speech while making fun of his teammates from Senegal and Mali, whom he beat en route to reaching the final. Mohamed Camara and Kreppin Diatta took the joke lightly as they enjoyed the moment with their teammate.
The former Torino right-back is expected to join his teammates in training on Friday ahead of the game against Toulouse on Sunday.
Singo has been a key player for Monaco this season, making 15 appearances and scoring a goal in Ligue 1, per Transfermarkt.
