Top Nigerian musicians and celebrities have joined the Africa Cup of Nations frenzy following the Super Eagles' progress to the final of the tournament.

The three-time champions will face host nation Ivory Coast in the final at the Alassane Outtara Stadium in Ebimpe on Sunday.

Having already beaten the same side at the group stage, Nigeria will be hoping to repeat their success over the Elephants in the final.

Ferdinand shows Super Eagles support

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand joined the Africa Cup of Nations frenzy after celebrating Nigeria's victory over South Africa on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana on penalties to reach the final of the 2023 AFCON after a pulsating game in Bouake.

The three-time champions will now face host nation Ivory Coast in the final in Ebimpe on Sunday.

Troost-Ekong replies Rio Ferdinand

Sports Brief also reported that Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong shared his admiration for former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand.

Troost-Ekong has been instrumental for the Super Eagles at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, leading Nigeria to the final.

Following Nigeria's victory over South Africa in the semi-final on Wednesday, the ex-England international displayed his support for the two-time champions.
