Osimhen happy to reach AFCON final

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Victor Osimhen has reacted to Nigeria's first appearance in the Africa Cup of Nations final in nearly a decade, following their victory against South Africa on Wednesday night.

The Napoli striker thought he had clinched the victory after scoring in the 88th minute to make it 2-0, but his goal was overturned after a VAR review, and South Africa was awarded a penalty instead.

The game eventually went to penalties, with goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali saving two spot kicks from Bafana Bafana as the Super Eagles won 4-2, much to the pleasure of Osimhen.
