With the intense passion of Dakkada F.C's players, the team seems to be defying expectations and going all the way to lift more significant trophies in Nigeria's best league. Goals from some of the Dakkada F.C's players have been forthcoming regardless of the poor start of the 2021/22 season. Early in 2019, the team was playing in Nigeria's National League, rising two years later to end Nigeria's Professional Football League season in the mid of the table.

Dakkada F.C. achievements

Dakkada won the Nigerian Professional Football League in 18/2019 and was later promoted to Nigeria's Professional Football League in the 2019 to 2020 season. The promotion made the oil rich Niger Delta state of Akwa Ibom become one of the two state governments sponsoring two clubs in the competition at the time.

Dakkada F.C. stadium

Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is the team's home stadium. The all seater national sports stadium is situated in Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom. It also serves as the home stadium for the Nigerian Super Eagles, having a capacity of 30,000.

The club is owned by Akwa Ibom State Government, the government of Akwa Ibom, which is involved with the state ministry administration.

Dakkada F.C's coach as of the 2021/2022 season

In December 2020, the Football Club appointed Umar Danlami Kwasau as their new technical crew head. According to guardian.ng, the Kaduna-born was the former coach at FC Taraba, Kada City and Delta Force. He took over from Coach Caleb Esu after his contract expired.

Dakkada F.C's trophies

The team clinched the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 4 Tournament in 2019. The achievement led to their promotion in the next season.

Dakkada F.C's captain

The squad is led by Aniekan Ekpe as the captain. As of February 2022, Ekpe is a 36 years old Nigerian, born on Dec 30, 1986. He is still regarded as one of Dakkada F.C's legends.

Dakkada F.C. history

The team was founded in 2004, with the name Akwa Starlets F.C. This was initiated by the then Commissioner for Youths and Sports in Akwa Ibom State, Chris Ekong. It started as the junior squad of Akwa United F.C. After its formation, the group started playing in the Nigerian National Amateur League 1, gaining promotions later up to Nigeria's Professional Football League.

Under the name Akwa Starlet, the club was crowned the 2019 Champion of the Nigeria National League and the club's management officially rebranded the name to Dakkada F.C. on 31 October 2019. Since then, the team has been on Nigeria's Professional Football League, mostly at the mid of the table.

Dakkada F.C. world ranking

In the 2020/21 season, they completed Nigeria's Professional Football League at number 11 out of 20 teams. The team has relatively risen in the football scene of Nigeria, having been founded just 18 years ago.

In 2019 the Dakkada F.C's players were plying their trade in the second-tier of the league and awarded promotion by virtue of being the champions in the Nigerian National League. The promotion saw them join the top-flight for the first time in the 2019/20 season. Since then, the team has not looked back. The team completed the season at number 11 in the last season (2020/21).
