Teboho Mokoena hit the Mohammed Kudus celebration

The Sundowns star scored against Nigeria at AFCON

Nigeria defeated South Africa on penalties in Bouake

South Africa reminded Nigeria of their rivalry with Ghana after hitting the Mohammed Kudus celebration during their semi-final clash at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Teboho Mokoena scored from the spot late in the game to force the match into extra time in Bouake.

The Super Eagles took the lead halfway through the second half after captain William Troost-Ekong converted from the spot.

In a video shared on social media, the players of Bafana Bafana run to the advertising board to perform the Kudus celebration.

The Super Eagles went on to beat South Africa to reach the final after a penalty shootout victory in Bouake, with goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali making two saves.

Ghana and Nigeria have a long-standing rival and most of their fans are hoping South Africa will stop the Super Eagles from reaching the final.

Meanwhile, Nigeria could catch up with Ghana in terms of the number of AFCONs won if they end up as champions in Ivory Coast.

The 2013 champions will face the winner of the match between Ivory Coast and DR Congo.

Garnacho hits the Kudus' celebration

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Alejandro Garnacho and his United teammates hit the iconic Mohammed Kudus celebration after netting a second goal against West Ham in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils doubled their advantage right after the break through the Argentina winger, who cut in and fired with his left foot.

Rasmus Hojlund opened the scoring halfway through the first half-half as the English giants continued their recent run of form.

Kudus explains new celebration at West Ham

Sports Brief also reported that Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus has explained his new celebration at West Ham United.

The 23-year-old has been in devastating form for West Ham since joining the club in the summer transfer window from Ajax Amsterdam.

Kudus has netted nine goals across all competitions for the London outfit, and his celebration after each strike is becoming popular in England. The Ghana international runs and sits on the advertising board to celebrate a goal.
