The Dutch defender, who only moved to North London this season from Wolfsburg, has settled in well under Ange Postecoglou. He has formed an impressive partnership with World Cup winner Christian Romero. The 22-year-old suffered a hamstring injury at the start of November and only returned towards the end of the year.
In second place is Luton Town's Chiedozie Ogbene, who recorded 36.93km/h. The Ireland international has been a regular for Rob Edwards this season in their maiden appearance in the top flight.
Pedro Neto is third on the list, with the pacy Wolves winger recording a 36.86km/h speed. Only Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier have supplied more assists than the Portuguese forward this season. Liverpool's Dominik Szoboszlai is fourth, with a speed of 36.76km/h.
