Manchester United attacker Rasmus Hojlund has finally opened up on the meaning behind his celebration after he scored against West Ham United.

Hojlund continued his fine run of form on Sunday, February 4, as United secured a 3-0 win against the Hammers at Old Trafford.

The forward opened the scoring for the hosts with a well-taken low drive shot before Alejandra Garnacho bagged a brace to inspire the Red Devils to victory.

According to SPORTbible, Hojlund debuted a unique celebration during the match, with the Dane, who was celebrating his 21st birthday playing the air guitar with his leg.

Hojlund explains his guitar celebration

The striker's somewhat comical celebration got fans talking, with many struggling to understand what it really meant.

However, speaking after the match, the Denmark international explained the story behind the celebration.

"I spoke about doing a celebration for my friends," he told Sky Sports.
"They told me to do the guitar back in the summer, and I hadn't done it yet, so today was the day," he added.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old will be hoping to continue with his hot form that has seen him score in four consecutive league games.

The former Atalanta star endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford that saw him fail to score in his first 14 Premier League outings with United.

Garnacho copies Cristiano Ronaldo's goal celebration

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported on Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho also making headlines for performing Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration after scoring against West Ham United.

The Argentinian was recently advised to celebrate more like Lionel Messi after scoring by Angel di Maria.

However, the youngster doesn't seem to have heeded that call. Despite being a national teammate of the Inter Miami star, Garnacho has been a vocal admirer of CR7 and has copied his celebrations in the past.
