According to Sky Sports, the Argentine was appointed to the role as a permanent replacement for Graham Potter, who had been shown the door back in February.

However, the former Tottenham boss has struggled to steady the ship, with the Blues currently struggling for results.

Chelsea fans want Pochettino out

Chelsea's 4-1 defeat against Wolves on Sunday saw Pochettino come under sharp criticism once again, with a section of fans saying it is about time he is handed marching orders.

Calls to have the tactician sacked were led by Thiago Silva's wife, Belle, who took to X to insist 'it is time for change.'

"It’s time to change. If you wait any longer it will be too late 💙💙," she posted.

A number of her followers seemingly agreed with her sentiments, with @FrankKhalidUK joking:

"I prefer you to manage Chelsea!!!"

@topgent007 agreed:

"Get Pochettino out now."

@Sheriff_Jimmy added:

"Thank you for speaking up Belle."

@ChelseatodaMAX concluded:

"#Pochout Please."

Chelsea's latest setback leaves saw them drop to 11th in the Premier League standings with 31 points.

The Blues currently sit 15 points off fourth-placed Aston Villa, ahead of their next Premier League outing against Crystal Palace.

Raheem Sterling booed by fans

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported on Raheem Sterling enduring a tough afternoon during Chelsea's Premier League clash against Wolves on Sunday, February 4, at Stamford Bridge.

The England international was booed by a large section of the Chelsea support base as he was subbed off in the second half.

Sterling was hauled off by Pochettino with 20 minutes left on the clock.
