Pitso Mosimane has hailed South Africa goalkeeper Ronwen Williams after leading the Bafana Bafana to the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Mamelodi Sundowns shot-stopper made history by becoming the first goalkeeper to save four penalties at AFCON as South Africa eliminated Cape Verde on penalties.
Interestingly, Williams got the directions of all five spot kicks from the Cape Verdeans right, bravely saving four as the 1996 champions won the game 2-1.
Mosimane, who has been following the Nations Cup from his base in Saudi Arabia, took to social media to applaud the captain of Bafana Bafana while extending his congratulations to the entire team.

"What a performance Captain Ronwen Ronwen Williams. You carried the whole country on your shoulders. Well done to your teammates, Coach Hugo and the entire technical team," wrote the former Al Ahly coach on X, formerly Twitter.
The victory sends South Africa into the last four of the competition, where they will face three-time champions Nigeria, per Sky Sports.
The Rainbow Nations won the tournament in 1996 and will hope to end their 28-year wait for the title in Ivory Coast.
