Vitor Roque has got Barcelona fans falling in love with him all over again.

The 18-year-old Brazilian was at the centre of a lot of attention when he signed for the La Liga champions, with the club talking up his signing.

After five appearances and just one assist, the youngster was desperate to make an impact and did that against Osasuna.

Roque opens Barcelona goal account

One minute after coming on for Fermin Lopez, El Tigrinho scored his first goal for Xavi's men.

Roque headed home from a beautiful João Cancelo cross from close range to open his account and give Barcelona the lead.

There was no denying just how much the goal meant to him, as the youngster was spotted in tears after scoring.

His goal proved pivotal for the defending champions as Barca held on for a much-needed win. With Xavi announcing that he will be stepping down from his post at the end of the season, La Blaugrana needed a good showing.

Roque wins Man of the Match award

Roque was also named MVP of the match, thanks to his goal. Not only did he net the winner, but he also was a constant threat throughout the game and looked likely to get a second.

With three points in the bag, Xavi's men have moved back up to third place temporarily. Atletico Madrid then beat Rayo Vallecano to regain the place, but are tied with Barcelona on 47 points.

Barcelona give Roque wild welcome

FC Barcelona pulled out all the stops for the Brazilian youngster, Vitor Roque's arrival, Sports Brief previously stated.

The 18-year-old was signed by Serie A club, Atletico Paranaense and seen as a big boost to Barca's attacking options.

To mark his arrival, La Blaugrana began teasing fans on social media about what they could expect from El Tigrinho.
