As Lionel Messi donned the Inter Miami shirt, fans all at the Kingdom Arena and all over the globe witnessed another electrifying performance.

The Argentine maestro had faced a goal drought in his initial two matches of 2024, experiencing a draw against El Salvador and a 1-0 defeat to FC Dallas.

But the 36-year-old successfully ended his goal-scoring dry spell he adeptly dispatched a penalty from 12 yards.

It wasn't just Messi's goal however that earned him and made the fans go berserk.

In a video shared on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, the Barcelona legend also produced a scintillating dribble during the match to bamboozle an Al Hilal captain Al-Shahrani.

The ex-PSG star continued to create chances and threaten the Al-Hilal goal throughout the game, and his perseverance paid off as he contributed an assist for David Ruiz, who finished the opportunity with finesse.

Inter Miami's winless streak continues

While Ruiz's goal garnered attention for its beauty, Messi's penalty and crazy dribbles stood out as the highlight.

Despite the World Cup winner's goal and assist, Inter Miami couldn't secure a victory or draw, extending their winless streak with consecutive defeats, per GOAL.

Former Barcelona forward Malcom sealed the victory for the opposition with a late goal, as cited by BVM Sports.

Messi advertises Saudi Arabia despite snub

In a related publication, Sports Brief reported that Lionel Messi continues to showcase Saudi Arabia on his Instagram page, even after rejecting the opportunity to join the country's league last year.
