Andre Onana has left Cote d'Ivoire after a difficult Africa Cup of Nations tournament for the goalkeeper and the Cameroonian national team.
The Manchester United shot-stopper made a single appearance as the Indomitable Lions exited the tournament at the Round of 16 following a defeat to Nigeria.
The 27-year-old is expected to arrive in Manchester later on Monday and will be available for the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Thursday.
In a photo shared on social media, Onana is seen on a private flight as he leaves Abidjan to return to club duties.
The former Inter Milan goalkeeper endured a tough tournament after conceding three goals in the game against champions Senegal.
He was later dropped to the bench for the matches against Gambia and the Super Eagles.
Meanwhile, Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag confirmed after the Premier League's FA Cup win over Newport that the Cameroonian will be in post for the next match.
"Andre Onana will be back for Thursday [against Wolves in the Premier League]. Maybe, for the first time as long as I was manager, I can pick a team from the squad that is probably the strongest here," he said, as quoted by Metro.
Onana joined Manchester United in the summer transfer window from Italian giants Inter Milan after his exploits led the club to the final of last season's UEFA Champions League.
Ondoa replaces Onana at Cameroon
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Fabrice Ondoa opened up on replacing Andre Onana as Cameroon's first-choice goalkeeper at the Africa Cup of Nations.
