West Ham United's recent loan acquisition, Kalvin Phillips, has revealed his preferred vacation destination in a rapid-fire interview with the club's media team.

The England international, who recently joined the Hammers on a loan deal until the season's end, disclosed his fondness for Kenya.

Moving to the Hammers marked the end of his 18-month stint at the Etihad Stadium, where he had completed a £45 million move from Leeds.

During the interview, when questioned about his favourite holiday spot, Phillips promptly named Kenya, as reported by Pulse Sports.

His connection with the East African country goes back to July 2022, when he spent two weeks there after moving from Leeds United to Manchester City.

Phillips recounted his immersive safari experience at Tsavo National Park, stressing the awe-inspiring moments of witnessing wild animals in their natural habitat. His social media posts during the stay reflected his enthusiasm and gratitude for the unforgettable experience.

West Ham, currently eyeing a Champions League spot through the Premier League or Europa League victory, sits sixth in the Premier League table.

David Moyes is determined to make a strong push in the second half of the season, with Phillips expressing his eagerness to be part of the exciting journey.

As he sets his sights on regular first-team football with West Ham, the loan deal allows him to make a case for a starting spot in the England squad for the upcoming competitions, including the one in Germany later this year.

Reports suggest that West Ham can make the move permanent at the end of the season, as reported by The Guardian.

In July 2023, it was reported that Man City manager Pep Guardiola was not too impressed with how the midfielder turned up 'overweight' at the club's training facilities after the World Cup in Qatar.

Phillips rejected his manager's claims about his fitness after the Mundial and admitted it was hard to stomach.

Guardiola is never scared to say it as it is, but the player felt his manager's assessment was inaccurate
