Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has voiced his frustration over Mohamed Salah's fitness status.
Salah had been away in Ivory Coast, helping the Egyptian national team at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The forward netted a goal and registered an assist as the Pharaohs played a 2-2 draw with Mozambique in their first group game of the competition.
He suffered a knock in the encounter and could not feature in the other two group matches.
Salah went through a rollercoaster of emotions from the sidelines as Egypt managed to get the desired result against Cape Verde, which ended 2-2.
Jurgen Klopp is more concerned about the player's fitness as he urges the technical crew to find a solution to his fitness.
He told TribalFootball, as per Complete Sports:
“We have the exact same target as Egypt. Make Mo as fit as quickly as possible. When a player is injured, we help them.
“All parties agreed that it makes sense he does the rehab here. We have a season to play so want him fit."
Earlier, Klopp ate the 'humble pie' and apologised to the Egypt FA over his comments on Mohamed Salah’s injury.
Egypt coach Rui Vitoria was incensed by the fact that the Liverpool boss disclosed the extent of Salah’s injury before the Pharaoh’s decisive last AFCON group game.
Salah hits back at critics
