Kaizer Chiefs star, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo has explained how Cavin Johnson gets the best out of him and his teammates since the South African took over.
Johnson replaced Molefi Ntseki as the first team manager on an interim basis after the latter parted ways with the AmaKhosi in October last year.
The former Al Ahly assistant coach has been in charge of the team during seven games in the current Premier Soccer League campaign, winning four.
In an interview with iDiskiTimes, Ngcobo explained how the Glamour Boys interim manager gets the best out of the team.
"Coach Cavin [Johnson] just wants everyone to be free and enjoy playing for Kaizer Chiefs and to do your best, and everything will go well," he said.
"Like I said [he tells me] to be free. It is the same thing: 'just do what you can do and show that you're talented'. That's what he wants from us."
The 24-year-old's comment about Johnson stirred different reactions from Chiefs fans on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
@kamva____20 was positive in their response:
"Johnson is cooking the boy, i wish chiefs supporters can support the boy and suspend their critics."
@Limabemsukela was far more critical:
"Exactly why Chiefs players will never develop, its because of this free playing and enjoying the games. Nowadays soccer doesn't need this."
@Naphtallyjack questioned his placement:
"I wish you could ask him what position he prefers and if the coach trusts him there. Mshini is an 8 and that's it..."
