In an entertaining clash at the Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday, January 21, 2024, Kenya Police FC displayed dominance by securing a 2-0 victory against Nzoia Sugar.

Ugandan-born South Sudanese striker Tito Okello scored a brace in the first half, propelling the law enforcers to fifth in the FKF Premier League standings with 30 points, trailing leaders and perennial champions Gor Mahia by 13 points.

Okello secured his second goal eight minutes later by heading in David Owino's cross after a corner, as reported by Kahawatungu.

The defeat leaves Nzoia grappling with relegation at the bottom of the league with 13 points after 19 games, having won only one of their last six matches. They will hope for a change in fortunes when they host Posta Rangers at the Sudi Stadium on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

The match marked a reunion for former Nzoia coach Salim Babu (now managing Police) against his former team.

In another Sunday fixture, AFC Leopards dealt a blow to Nairobi City Stars' impressive seven-match winning streak with a 2-0 victory at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega, as reported by Capital Sports.

The result gave Gor Mahia a 10-point lead at the top of the standings for at least another two weeks, following their narrow victory over Tusker FC on Saturday, January 20, 2024.

Maxwell Otieno and Kevin Kimani scored in the second to lift Ingwe to 10th in the standings with 24 points.

Meanwhile, Posta Rangers climbed to third on the log after a tight 1-0 win over Murang'a Seal as reported by

Brian Marita's goal was the decider for the Mailmen, who moved to 32 points, one behind City Stars and one above Tusker, who dropped one place. Murang'a Seal, on the other hand, endured their eighth match without victory, sliding to 11th in the standings.
