Al Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has aimed a pointed dig at Manchester United after a successful year with the Saudi club.

Ronaldo sealed a sensational move to Al Nassr at the start of 2023 following his acrimonious Old Trafford exit.

The veteran forward quit United on the eve of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after a fallout with Erik ten Hag.

The five-time Ballon d'Or has gone to disapprove his critics with an impressive goal-scoring record during his first year with Al Nassr.

Ronaldo ended 2023 as the highest-scoring player in the world with 54 goals, beating the likes of Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Kylian Mbappe to the top of the charts.

His exploits in front of the goal saw him shine at the Globe Soccer Awards, with the Portuguese carting home three prizes, including the Fan's Favourite Player of the Year award.

Ronaldo aims dig at Man United

SPORTbible reports that the 38-year-old used the opportunity to aim a sly dig at former club Man United.

Speaking to Record, the former Real Madrid striker insisted that his goal scoring exploits in 2023 serve as justification for his decision to quit Old Trafford.

"If you go back and see what happened at Manchester United and the national team, of ," he said.

"But the truth is that I focused and had a great period at Al Nassr; that's why I scored 54 goals," he added.
