  • Jordan Henderson will not advise Mohamed Salah not to move to Saudi Arabia
  • Al Hilal are expected to make a move for Salah next summer
  • Henderson returned from Saudi Arabia after just six months

Jordan Henderson could only survive six months of playing in the Saudi Pro League but the former Liverpool midfielder will not advise Mohamed Salah from moving to Saudi Arabia.

The 34-year-old midfielder, who left the Reds last summer amid much controversy, is under the spotlight for terminating his contract with Al Ettifaq after just six months to seal a return to Europe with Ajax.

According to 90MIN, Salah is likely to be targeted by Al Hilal at the end of the current season, and Henderson will not advise his former teammate from going to the Saudi Pro League.

"No, definitely not. Everyone is different. Big players are there now loving every second of it. You might get others that don't settle or something happens in their private life. Things change quickly.
"I wouldn't speak badly of the league or the clubs or anything like that. I have full respect for the opportunity I was given to go there."

Salah’s current contract runs until 2025, but the Liverpool forward is expected to make a decision on his future at the end of the season.

Salah to miss AFCON matches

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah could miss Egypt's next two matches at the Africa Cup of Nations after picking up an injury in the Pharaohs 2-2 draw against Ghana on Thursday. Livescore reports.

The Egyptian Football Association confirmed on social media that the Liverpool forward will miss the Pharaoh's final group game against Cape Verde and their Round of 16 clashes should they qualify.

Egypt have two points from their opening two games and must defeat Cape Verde in their final game to qualify for the knockout stage of the competition.

Klopp’s conversation with Mo Salah

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Jurgen Klopp's worst nightmare is about to come true, as the Liverpool manager disclosed a gloomy update on Mohamed Salah, who suffered a serious injury while on AFCON duty.

Salah walked off hurt near the end of the first half in Egypt's Group B thriller against Ghana, and the Black Stars scored moments after.

Salah's footage of him limping off injured, which is assumed to be a hamstring injury, will be a disappointment to Liverpool supporters and manager.
