The Cape Verde star, who is commonly referred to as Bebé, put everyone on notice when he scored a rocket of a shot against Mozambique.

Bebé opened the scoring for his side in the 32nd minute of the game when he fired in from a direct freekick.

The strike, which was from quite far out, appeared to have caught Mozambique keeper Hernâni Siluane out.

Siluane attempted to parry the ball away but only succeeded in helping it into the back of the net.

Cape Verde secure big win

The goal set Cape Verde on their way to a big win as they beat Mozambique 3-0.

With the victory, Cape Verde officially booked their place in the next round of the competition, Morocco World News reported.

Cape Verde’s impressive showing

The Blue Sharks are proving to be quite a force at AFCON. They beat Ghana in their first game and followed it up with the biggest-ever victory in an AFCON game.

Ranked 14th in Africa, the island nation are ranked 73rd in the world at present.
