Gor Mahia manager Johnathan McKinstry expressed his satisfaction after the result.

"It is a sign of a team with something special in their character. However, I felt some referee decisions against us were not fair. We have won, and I'm convinced we are doing well," as reported by the Nation.

Under the guidance of new coach Sammy 'Pamzo' Omollo, Shabana made an impressive debut by defeating bottom-placed Nzoia Sugar 5-2 at Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County. The Kisii-based club climbed to 16th with 17 points, tied with Sofapaka but with a better goal difference.

Former champions Tusker FC continued their resurgence with a 3-1 victory over Sofapaka at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Fabian Adikiny, Eric Kapaito, and David Odoyo found the net for Tusker, who now sit third on the log with 31 points.

In other matches, Nairobi City Stars reclaimed the second spot with 33 points after a first-half strike from Mohamed Bajaber secured a victory against Posta Rangers.

At Ulinzi Sports Complex, Ulinzi Stars and KCB played to a goalless draw, maintaining their struggles in the top-flight league, as reported by FKF.

Kenya Police secured a 1-0 victory over Bidco United at Thika Sub County Stadium, while FC Talanta edged out Murang'a Seal with a solitary goal at SportPesa Arena in Muranga Country.
