African players with most Premier League goals

There’s no questioning the fact that Salah is one of the greatest African players in Premier League history.

He already holds the record for most goals scored by an African player in the English top flight, finding the back of the net 153 times during his time at Chelsea and Liverpool.

Senegalese forward Sadio Mane is ranked second on the list, scoring 111 Premier League goals for the Reds.

Ivory Coast star Didier Drogba is ranked third, scoring 104 goals for Chelsea in the Premier League.

Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Nigerian Yakubu complete the top five, racking up 97 and 95 goals, respectively, in their Premier League careers.

African players with most Premier League assists

Salah isn’t just a scorer of goals; he also creates them. In fact, he also holds the record for most assists by an African player in the Premier League with 67.

Riyad Mahrez, who played for Leicester City and Manchester City in the Premier League before moving to Saudi Arabia this season, racked up 61 assists in the English top flight.

Drogba is ranked third, recording 55 assists during his time with the Blues. Mane and Adebayor complete the top five, dishing out 38 and 36 assists, respectively, during their time in the Premier League.

African players with most EPL clean sheets

Edouard Mendy holds the record for most clean sheets by an African Player in the Premier League, with the Senegalese goalkeeper racking up 31 between the sticks at Chelsea.

That’s more than double the clean sheets produced by the second-ranked player on the list. Zimbabwean goalkeeper Bruce Grobbelaar had 13 clean sheets in the English top flight.

Cameroon star Andre Onana is ranked third, racking up six clean sheets in his maiden season with Manchester United.

Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Kingson is ranked fourth with three Premier League clean sheets.

African players with most Premier League appearances

Regarding games played in the Premier League, Kolo Toure remains king. The Ivory Coast star made 353 appearances in the English top flight at Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, per GiveMeSport.

Wilfried Zaha is closing in on his record mark, though, racking up 305 appearances in his Premier League career. The bulk of those games came with Crystal Palace.

Nigerian forward Shola Ameobi is ranked third with 298 appearances in the English top flight.

Senegalese defender Cheikhou Kouyate and Algerian captain Riyad Mahrez complete the top five, racking up 289 and 284 appearances, respectively, in the Premier League.
