Jadon Sancho has broken his silence on X, previously known as Twitter, marking his first post since publicly criticising Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag.

Following a well-publicised falling out with ten Hag, Sancho has secured a loan return to Borussia Dortmund for the remainder of the season.

The rift between the English winger and the Dutch coach originated when ten Hag questioned Sancho's commitment to training after a 3-1 loss to Arsenal in September.

This criticism led to Sancho being completely omitted from the matchday squad, prompting him to claim he was unfairly made a 'scapegoat' in a now-deleted statement.

Despite his refusal to apologize, Sancho faced consequences, including being barred from using first-team facilities at the club's Carrington training facility.

The Englishman maintained a social media hiatus until Wednesday evening when he reactivated his Instagram account, featuring a profile picture of him in yellow socks.

In a simple message to his 2.2 million followers on X, Sancho expressed, "2024, let’s go!" Accompanying the message was a photo of him donning his new number 10 shirt at Dortmund, pointing to his name on the back.

How Sancho fared at Old Trafford

Sancho's stint at Manchester United, initiated by a £72 million transfer from Dortmund in 2021 during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure, failed to see him establish himself as a regular starter under three different managers.

Despite Solskjaer's persistent pursuit of Sancho's signature for over a year, the Englishman struggled to make an impact, failing to score or provide an assist in the 14 games managed by the Red Devils legend during his debut campaign.

Solskjaer was eventually dismissed from his managerial role in November of that year, per Sportbible.

Dortmund mock Man United

Sports Brief also reported that Borussia Dortmund have sharply ridiculed Manchester United upon finalizing the transfer of Jadon Sancho.

The German club has brought Sancho back into its ranks from Manchester United, following his exclusion from the first-team due to a public disagreement with Erik ten Hag.
