The Black Stars of Ghana are now at full strength with the arrival of West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus.

There were fears he might not be available for the Black Stars' opener against Cape Verde on Sunday due to the injury.

However, the red-hot attacking midfielder took part in training on Tuesday in Kumasi before the team returned to Accra.

In photos shared on social media, the midfielder is seen going through individual drills under the supervision of a West Ham medic.

The Black Stars met the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, on Tuesday evening as he bid the team farewell ahead of the tournament in Ivory Coast.

The four-time African champions will leave Ghana on Wednesday.

Ghana have been drawn in Group B alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Cape Verde and Mozambique.

The West African football powerhouse heads to Abidjan with the hopes of ending the country's 42-year wait for the AFCON title.

Kudus nominated for EPL PoTM

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus has been nominated for EPL Player of the Month award.

The West Ham forward faces competition from seven other players, including Chelsea's Cole Palmer for the December Best Player award.

Kudus enjoyed a remarkable month, scoring four goals in six games to propel the Hammers to sixth position before the end of 2023.

Ghana held by Namibia in pre-AFCON friendly

Sports Brief also reported that the Black Stars of Ghana were held to a goalless draw by Namibia in their final preparatory game ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Despite dominating most of the game, the four-time African champions lacked the needed spark to break the defence of the South African nation.

Both sides have been preparing in Ghana ahead of the tournament which begins on Saturday in the neighbouring country.
