As reported by Aftonbladet, negotiations between the Polish side and AIK are in the final stages, with both parties optimistic about a successful outcome in the next few weeks.

The publication also reports that if, for some reason, negotiations were to break down, there would be other interested parties willing to sign the Kenya left-back.

In December 2023, AIK's director of football, Thomas Bernsten, talked of the potential circumstances that could lead to the defender's departure.

Despite turning down several offers for Ouma during the summer of 2023, the club remained cautious about its decisions, stressing responsible financial management.

"We'll see what we do, but I won't go into specific names. We know that some will leave and some will be sold. Then we will bring about six players to strengthen our core 14-15 men squad," Bernsten told Fotboll Transfers.

Expressen, a Swedish outlet, also reported significant interest in Ouma from clubs in Spain and France. These clubs were expected to present concrete offers, with AIK expected to negotiate at the right price.

Ouma, who joined AIK from Vasalunds in the COVID-19 year, displayed his importance with a goal and three assists in 26 Allsvenskan appearances during the 2023 season.

As the winter transfer market unfolds, Kenyan football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate developments regarding the potential departure of the Kenyan.

Otieno in Team of the Week

Sports Brief previously reported when Otieno made the Allsvenskan Team of the Week after impressive performances for his side in 2021.

The Kenyan was critical as they returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over Ostersunds.

Ouma provided an assist and was defensively flawless to ensure his side claimed three points in a game that ended a two-game losing streak.
