Former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama has expressed admiration for the outstanding performances of seven students affiliated with his foundation in the recently released 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.
The Ministry of Education revealed the remarkable academic accomplishments of these promising students on Monday, January 8, 2024.
Omondi Tamara Zawadii was the top student from the foundation. Zawadii was a Sironga High School student who secured and A- grade in the exams.
Eva Moraa, Shikomere Albert Siema, Sammy Ariko, Shem Trizah and Makokha Lamech all achieved B grades.
"I want to take this opportunity to congratulate my little heroes and heroines from The Victor Wanyama Foundation who sat for their KCSE last year. Your hard work and zeal didn't go unrecognized," Wanyama posted on his Twitter.
The Foundation when launched in 2019, laid focus on students who managed 400 marks or above in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE). This underscored the CF Montreal midfielder's his commitment to uplifting young talents and offering them opportunities for educational excellence.
He officially formed the foundation in 2019. It is located in Busia, Kenya, where the main centre is under construction.
According to Pulse Sports, Wanyama aims to impact the lives of youngsters by nurturing talent and fostering excellence in academics.
The foundation's comprehensive approach to development includes sports, health, environmental conservation, and education, creating a well-rounded success foundation.
