"U20 Nations Cup got injured 7 days before Nations Cup. The Super Eagles got injured 6days before the Nations Cup. Na Only GOD Knows why," a distraught Boniface posted on X.
Boniface missed the friendly against Guinea as the three-time African champions lost their final warm-up game before the tournament starts on Saturday.
However, he took to social media to wish his teammates the best in Ivory Coast.
"Good luck guys. Wish you guys all the best at AFCON. Super Eagles," Boniface wrote on his Instagram account.

Nigeria will open their AFCON campaign with a game against Equatorial Guinea before facing hosts Ivory Coast and Guinea Bissau in Group A, as reported by Afrik Foot.
