Jared Borgetti was born on August 14, 1973, in Culiacán, Sinaloa, in northwestern Mexico. He grew up in a humble family, and his parents were teachers. He is 50 years old as of the time of writing.

While in Culiacán, Borgetti continued his education at a nearby high school. He resolved to devote himself entirely to football after finishing college.

Throughout his twenty-plus-year professional football career, Jared Borgetti suited up for several elite US, European, and Mexican clubs. His stellar record of goals scored is evidence of why he is generally regarded as one of Mexico's all-time best football players.

During his six years with Santos Laguna, Borgetti won the Mexican League in 1996 and scored over 100 goals. He joined Pachuca in 2000 and continued his goal-scoring spree, which led to the 2001 Mexican League title.
