Williams missed the commissioning of the hotel due to his involvement with the Black Stars, who are currently training for the Africa Cup of Nations this month.

However, high-ranking members of the community and Williams' family members were at the inauguration of the hotel, as spotted in photos shared on social media.

The Spanish-born forward decided to switch allegiance and play for Ghana in 2022 and has since become an integral part of the team, as reported by the BBC.

Williams' only goal for the Black Stars was in the opening 2026 World Cup qualifier against Madagascar in Kumasi.

However, the Athletic Club striker is expected to play a pivotal role at the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast. Ghana have been drawn into a tricky group alongside seven-time champions Egypt, Cape Verde, and Mozambique.

Inaki Williams scores debut Ghana goal

Sports Brief previously reported that Inaki Williams' debut goal for Ghana secured a hard-fought victory against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The Athletic Club forward rose to head home from a Gideon Mensah cross in the final minute of the game in Kumasi, helping their campaign get off to a perfect start.

The visitors started the qualifier game as the better of the two sides, getting two corner kicks in the first five minutes, but failed to take advantage of the set pieces.

Williams opens up ahead of AFCON

Sports Brief also previously reported that Athletic Bilbao star, Inaki Williams is anticipating his first AFCON tournament with his country.

The forward only made his debut for the Black Stars last year but is expected to be included in the final squad for the 34th edition of the tourney.

Williams, who represented Spain previously, switched allegiance to Ghana and was involved in their 2022 FIFA World Cup group-stage elimination.
