Former AFC Leopards midfielder, Duncan Otieno, is exploring the possibility of returning to Zambia after parting ways with Botswana's Gaborone United.
Otieno, who switched to Gaborone in August 2022 from Zambian Super League club Lusaka Dynamos, is reportedly now a free agent.
Upon his arrival at Gaborone, Otieno, alongside fellow Kenyan John Mark Makwata, played a pivotal role for the team.
However, his playing time diminished over time, leading to the amicable termination of his contract. His departure from the Botswana giants, mutually agreed upon, has reportedly attracted interest from two undisclosed Zambian clubs, as reported by Pulse Sports.
The Kenyan midfielder had previously donned the AFC Leopards jersey in two stints. The first stint, from 2014 to 2015, saw him make 20 league appearances, scoring one goal. His second tenure with the team, from 2017 to 2018, featured 59 appearances after a brief spell with Posta Rangers.

FootballAfter leaving Ingwe, Otieno ventured to Zambia, signing with Nkana FC for a season before moving to Lusaka Dynamos.
His versatility in midfield and defence secured him a two-year deal with Gaborone United, but he opted to leave before completing the contracted period.
Zambia has been a favoured destination for several Kenyan players, with notable names such as David Owino, John Ochieng, Jesse Were, Samuel Onyango, Dennis Ng'ang'a and Ian Otieno.
Sports Brief previously reported when Gor Mahia's prolific striker, Benson Omala, made headlines amid speculations of a potential move to the Algerian side USM Alger.
The reports suggest that the eight-time Algerian champions are expressing interest in acquiring the services of the Kenyan forward.
Despite earlier rumours of Omala departing from the 20-time Kenyan champions, the striker has consistently performed on the field, attracting attention from several sides.
