The world of football has great spectacles in 2024, with most continental confederations playing their international football tournaments this year.
The AFC Asia Cup and Africa Cup of Nations will get underway in January, eight and nine days away from kickoff, respectively, while the UEFA Euros and Copa America will be played in June.
Per CAF Online, the AFCON prize money for the 2023 event will be $7 million, a 40% increase from the $5mil 2021 champions the Teranga Lions of Senegal received.

Per AFC, the prize money for the quadrennial Asia Cup will remain at $5mil, the same amount handed out to the 2019 winner, Qatar. A significantly lower amount to the CAF flagship event – AFCON runner-up receives the same amount as the winner of the AFC event.
South America’s flagship event will be held between June 21 and July 15 at the end of the European football season. Lionel Messi’s Argentina won the last edition in Brazil, defeating the host nation in the finals. It was his first international trophy, and he has won two more - UEFA-CONMEBOL Finalissima and the World Cup.
Per Sports Zion, the 2024 winning nation will receive a grand prize of $10mil while the runner-up will receive $5mil. This significantly differs from the AFCON prize, boasting a $3mil difference.

FootballAfter hosting the 2020 edition in 2021 across multiple cities in different countries, the 2024 edition will be held in Germany. UEFA announced that this year’s winner could go home with a maximum prize of €28.25mil ($30.9mil) if they win all their group games, while the runner-up could receive €3mil less.
