The former Barcelona player, who now plays for Atletico Madrid, took a trip down memory lane on social media.

Describing it as a throwback to 2023, Depay took to Instagram to share photos from memorable moments of his life.

“Today I give y’all some behind-the-scenes of 2023! Sh*t looks so good, but it was a challenging year, but this is Instagram the place where everybody lives a perfect (not) life. #BehindtheScenes2023,” he captioned the original post.

Depay then shared photos of things he loves, like his music and people close to him, like Paul Pogba and Quincy Promes.

Depay also shared photos of when he found out Frenkie de Jong and Mikky Kiemeney were expecting their first child.

De Jong and Depay are good friends, and were teammates at Barcelona, and are also part of the Dutch national team.

Depay also took time to pay tribute to another friend of his, Real Madrid’s David Alaba.

The Austrian is currently out injured, and the Dutch attacker is confident he will return stronger from this.

As noted by The Athletic, Alaba had to undergo surgery in December 2023 after he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee.
