Nigerian national team manager Jose Peseiro has announced the Super Eagles' 25-man squad will represent the country at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in the Ivory Coast next year.
The competition is set to kick off in Ivory Coast on January 15, when the Elephants will take on Guinea-Bissau.
Nigeria will also face the host nation in the group stage as they are both in Group A alongside Equatorial Guinea and Guinea.
The Portuguese manager's squad list was made official on the Super Eagles page on X on Friday evening, with the team comprising three goalkeepers, nine defenders, five midfielders, and eight forwards, according to a report by Soccernet.
Former CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa leads the list as the captain of the team, alongside reigning CAF Player of the Year Victor Osimhen and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface.
One of the notable inclusions on the list was Stanley Nwabili, who plays for the Premier Soccer League side Chippa United.

According to Punch, the former Nigerian international Mutiu Adepoju, who won the tournament with Nigeria in 1994, believes the AFCON 2023 title will come down to one of three countries.
