The Lions of Teranga will be looking to defend the crown they won last in 2022, and much of the squad that lifted that title have made the squad.

Apart from Mane and Koulibaly, other familiar faces in the team are Edouard Mendy, Krepin Diatta, Youssouf Sabaly, Idrissa Gueye, and Ismaila Sarr. Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson will lead the line for Cisse's side.

The squad is definitely strong and are obviously one of the favourites to win the 34th edition of the tournament.

Captain Mane is the team's best player and will be hoping to inspire his country to the title after missing the 2022 World Cup tournament in Qatar in December 2022.

Senegal are in Group C alongside Gambia, Guinea and Cameroon.

The tournament is set to run from January 13 to February 11, 2024.

Nicolas Jackson hits siuu against Tottenham

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nicolas Jackson took a cue from Cristiano Ronaldo's celebration after scoring a hat-trick against Tottenham in Chelsea's 4-1 win in a chaotic London derby.

The match lived up to expectations from the first minute and produced absolute cinema with red cards, clashes, disallowed goals, and VAR reviews reminiscent of a hard-fought derby.

Per The Athletic, Spurs received two red cards, including a straight one for Cristian Romero for a reckless tackle on compatriot Enzo Fernandez. The home team also suffered two injuries, one to James Maddison.

Al Nassr fans Chant Mane’s name

Sports Brief also reported on Al-Nassr fans chanting Mane's name, and they paraded an incredible tifo of him in their crucial win over Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.

The former Liverpool forward was not on the scoresheet for the Knights of Najd but had a good performance against Steven Gerrard's men.

Al-Nassr fans were spotted chanting Mane's name, and they displayed an incredible tifo of him.
