Lionel Messi has been impactful for Inter Miami on and off the pitch since joining the club in July, but his impact is also felt on properties in his neighbourhood.

Messi turned down multiple lucrative offers when he left Paris Saint-Germain and chose the Major League Soccer club as his next destination.

He immediately transformed the club on and off the pitch, helping the team win their first-ever trophy while boosting the club and league’s financial status.

Per Front Office Sports, the club announced last month that their 2024 season tickets are sold out, with only limited one-game tickets available for fans to buy on their portal.

Messi's presence affects neighbours’ house

Messi and his family initially stayed at an $8 million apartment close to the Golden Beach before he acquired an $10.8mill property in Fort Lauderdale close to the club’s training facilities.

His neighbour is American YouTuber and businessman Patrick Bet-David. The Iranian-born real estate investor has claimed the Argentine captain’s presence has boosted his fortunes.

“So far right now, according to today’s climate, I've already made $25m (£20m) of equity on the house I own. Messi just moved right next to my house. Everybody wants to be in our community.” he told Vlad TV.

“It’s a gated community on an island with only one way to go, very safe, very protected. God willing, it still is. Now that Messi is there, everybody is coming on their boats to look at the houses. We’re doing okay.”

Messi, at about a $600mil net worth, is almost twice as rich as Bet-David, who has a net worth of $350mil.

Sports Brief reported that Messi partied with David Beckham and co at a steakhouse owned by David Grutman in Miami after helping the club to the cup competition semi-final.

He was in the company of his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo. Sergio Busquets and his wife were also present, while Jordi Alba and Victoria Beckham completed the group.
