The former Ajax Amsterdam talent now joins a select group of Ghanaian players who have scored against England's football giants.

Sports Brief highlights the top five Ghanaians to have netted against the Red Devils.

1. Jordan Ayew

Jordan Ayew broke the deadlock for Crystal Palace against Manchester United in a Premier League clash at Old Trafford, contributing to the Eagles' 2-1 victory on August 24, 2019.

The forward put Roy Hodgson's side ahead in the 32nd minute, capitalizing on a header by compatriot Jeffrey Schlupp, as reported by GOAL.

Ayew's goal ended Crystal Palace's 39-year drought without holding a lead at Old Trafford, a record that dates back to David Swindlehurst's achievement in 1979.

In 16 encounters against the Red Devils, Jordan Ayew has secured three victories and four draws, with the rest resulting in defeats. He has netted just once in these matches, according to Transfermarkt.

2. Andre Ayew

Andre Dede Ayew, the captain of Ghana's senior men's national team, became the first of the Ayew brothers to net against Manchester United, aiding Swansea City's victory at the Liberty Stadium on August 30, 2015.

Despite the Red Devils leading 1-0, Ayew's header from close range levelled the score to 1-1, as reported by Modern Ghana.

His remarkable assist led to Frenchman Bafetimbi Gomis securing Swansea City's winning goal.

3. Sulley Muntari

In 2008, Sulley Muntari, one of the few players with appearances for both AC Milan and Inter Milan, was pivotal for Portsmouth in their stunning victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford in the FA Cup.

Portsmouth triumphed 1-0 in the quarter-final, securing a spot in the last four of the English domestic league cup.

Muntari sealed the win from the penalty spot with 12 minutes remaining after Milan Baros was brought down by Manchester United's substitute goalkeeper, Tomasz Kuszczak, per Ghanaweb.

4. Anthony Yeboah

During his short time at Leeds United, Yeboah earned the nickname 'Yegoala' for making incredible goals seem effortless.

On Christmas Eve in the 1995–96 Premier League season, he made a lasting impression against Manchester United.

After Andrew Cole equalised for the visitors following Gary McAllister's penalty, goals from Tony Yeboah and Brian Deane sealed a memorable victory for Leeds at Elland Road against the Red Devils.

5. Jeffrey Schlupp

Jeffrey Schlupp made an impact, joining his compatriots in style at the big table of players to have scored against Man United.

In Crystal Palace's Premier League clash against United on February 4, 2023, the Ghanaian midfielder displayed his skill by netting a backheel goal, as cited by Ghanascoccernet.

His goal brought solace to the Eagles, who trailed 2-0 in the second half, capitalising on a rebound following a stunning save by De Gea from a header.
