Former Premier League midfielder, Cesc Fabregas has sacked himself as Como 1907 boss.
The Spaniard took up the role at the Italian Serie B side on an interim basis a month ago.
According to the BBC, Fabregas found himself on the sidelines after former manager, Moreno Longo was shown the door.
Longo's exit paved the way for the ex-Chelsea and Arsenal star to take charge temporarily.
His appointment to the role came just months after the 36-year-old hung up his boots after playing one final season for the Lombardy-based outfit.
Fabregas steps down as Como boss
However, the former Spain international has decided to step down from the role after just a month.
Fabregas resolved to end his brief stint despite enjoying an impressive run as the manager, winning three of the five matches he was in charge.
It is understood the midfield legend made the decision as he does not have his coaching badges yet.
Como have since turned to Osian Roberts to take charge of the club.

Prior to his appointment with the Serie B side, the Welsh tactician worked as Patrick Vieira's assistant at Premier League side, Crystal Palace.

Sports Brief also previously reported on Fabregas announcing his retirement on July 1, disclosing via social media the reasoning behind the decision to hang up his boots.
In his statement, Fabregas further insisted it was ‘not all sadness’ since he was still planning to be at the footballing helm with his current club, Serie B side Como 1907.
