Napoli are gearing up to lose Victor Osimhen and have reportedly already started scouting for the Super Eagles forward's replacement, amid his continued links to Chelsea and Arsenal.
The Premier League clubs have heavily courted the Nigerian, with the Blues set to make an official bid in the January transfer window, while the Gunners have lined him up as a potential target next summer.
According to All Nigeria Soccer, Bayer Leverkusen forward, Victor Boniface is among the leading candidates to replace his compatriot, Osimhen, if the number 9 departs Napoli.
The 22-year-old forward transferred to the Bundesliga leaders in the summer of 2023 for a fee in the region of €20 million and has had a blistering start to his career in Germany.
Boniface can both score and create goals, as seen by his 23 goals involvements (15 goals, eight assists) in 22 all-competition appearances for Bayer Leverkusen this season.

Meanwhile, Boniface continued his impressive scoring form for Bayer Leverkusen, netting in the club’s 4-0 victory against Bochum at the BayArena on Wednesday, December 20, Complete Sports reports.
The 22-year-old forward, who came on as a substitute for hat-trick hero, Patrik Schick in the 67th minute, scored Leverkusen’s fourth goal of the game two minutes later after Florian Wirtz teed him up.
It was Boniface’s 10th Bundesliga goal in 16 appearances for Leverkusen this term as Xabi Alonso’s team remained unbeaten in the league and maintained their place at the top heading into the new year.
