AFCON 2023: South African Fans Unimpressed With Design of New Bafana Bafana Shirt

South African football fans are not happy with Bafana Bafana's new special white jersey made for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The national team are one of the 24 that qualified for the competition next year and will begin the tournament with a game against Mali on January 16.

Hugo Broos' side will also face Namibia and Tunisia in the group stage of Africa's biggest football competition.

Bafana Bafana kit manufacturer, LeCoq Sportif unveiled a special jersey ahead of the competition and will be released for sale next week, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.

The kit was expected to excite the fans but it was a different scenario entirely, as the South African football fans were not impressed with the vision of the French manufacturers.

Broos names Bafana Bafana’s preliminary AFCON squad

Sports Brief previously reported that Broos has released South Africa’s provisional squad of 50 for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, slated to kick off on January 13 in Ivory Coast.

The squad consists primarily of familiar faces that helped Bafana Bafana qualify for AFCON, with Siyabonga Ngezana, Melusi Buthelezi, and Patrick Maswanganyi among those selected.
