According to All Nigeria Soccer, Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand was on punditry duties and was left in awe of Chukwueze’s match-winner for AC Milan, hailing it as a fabulous goal.

"It's a fabulous strike. Great burst of pace through the middle there and this is all about timing your runs, patience. The weight of that ball tells the wideman what he needs to do.
"The patience of the player on the ball here before it is released, and then the pace of the ball, rolls it slowly, tells him exactly what to do. It's a great strike."

Chukwueze’s goal against Newcastle means the Nigerian forward has now scored in back-to-back Champions League games for the first time in his career.

Chukwueze keeps AC Milan in Europe

Meanwhile, Chukwueze’s match-winning striker against Newcastle at St. James’s Park kept AC Milan’s European dreams alive as they dropped down into the Europa League, Soccernet reports.

The Rossoneri, who entered matchday six bottom of the group, knew they needed to get nothing short of a victory against Eddie Howe’s side and Chukwueze’s goal ensured they left with a 2-1 victory.

AC Milan eventually finished third in Group F behind Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in what was tagged the 'group of death', owing to the quality of all four teams.

Chukwueze scores wonder goal for AC Milan

Sports Brief previously reported on Chukwueze scoring a stunner for AC Milan in their UCL game against Borussia Dortmund at the San Siro Stadium.

The winger's goal cancelled out an early opener from Marco Reus after veteran, Olivier Giroud missed a penalty won by the Nigerian international.

Reus had scored for Dortmund from the penalty spot at the 10-minute mark after Davide Calabria brought down Jamie Bynoe-Gittens in the box.
