Manchester United fans have singled out Andre Onana for blame following their humiliating Champions League exit.

United were keen to avoid defeat in the tie to stand a slim chance of qualifying for the next round of the tournament.

However, they recorded a dismal result in the tie to finish bottom of the pool.

Sky Sports reports that Kingsley Coman's second-half goal condemned United to a defeat in the encounter.

Fans blame Onana for Bayern loss

According to Sportbible, Onana has found himself on the receiving end in the wake of the defeat, with a section of fans blaming him for United's elimination from the Champions League.

@JackFawcett1704 posted:

"I’ll never deny that André Onana was the primary reason that we were knocked out of the Champions League."

@TheUtdLatest added:

"Andre Onana is responsible for our elimination. Leave Erik Ten Hag alone."

@_glavan joked:

"I think God sent Andre Onana to punish us on how we treated a Legend De Gea."

@Soft20971248581 concluded:

"We can now agree Onana is a fraud."

Onana has endured a disappointing start to life since he joined United from Inter Milan in the summer.

The Cameroonian was signed to replace David de Gea, who left United at the end of last season after a decade at the Theatre of Dreams.

Tuchel fires warning to United

Sports Brief recently reported on Thomas Tuchel firing a warning to Manchester United ahead of their Champions League clash.

The German coach said that his side will still be aiming for maximum points despite already securing the top spot in Group A.

That definitely happened, with Bayern recording a 1-0 victory.
