Super Eagles star, Victor Osimhen has marked his CAF Player of the Year success with a goal for Napoli against Sporting Braga in the UEFA Champions League.
The Nigerian international was crowned the best men's player in Africa ahead of Paris Saint-Germain defender, Achraf Hakimi and Liverpool forward, Mohamed Salah.
The former Lille striker became the first Nigerian to win the coveted award since Kanu Nwankwo in 1999.
The Super Eagles striker was named in Napoli's line-up for their last group-stage game against Sporting Braga and was on target for the Italian champions.
Trending videos on social media showed the 24-year-old striker scoring his team's second goal after linking with Brazilian defender, Natan in the 33rd minute.
Per ESPN, the Italian side initially took the lead very early in the game as Serdar Saatci turned the ball into his own net after nine minutes of play.
The first 45 minutes of play ended with Napoli leading 2-0 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, with Braga's hopes of advancing to the next round hanging in tatters.
The Portuguese side was unable to muster a comeback, although Union Berlin's 3-2 loss against Real Madrid saw Braga secure a Europa League place, with the Germans bottom of the group.
