  • Bayern suffered a scandalous defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt
  • The Bundesliga club are set to face Manchester United in the UCL
  • Harry Kane has sent a subtle message to Man United ahead of their clash

Eintracht Frankfurt inflicted a shocking blow to Bayern Munich's flawless start to the season, thrashing Thomas Tuchel’s side 5-1 at the Deutsche Bank Park.

The highly anticipated match, expected to be an easy victory for the Bavarians, deviated from predictions as the hosts surged to a surprise three-nil lead in the first half.

Goals from Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush, midfielder Eric Ebimbe, and Swedish defensive midfielder Hugo Larsson ensured Frankfurt had a commanding advantage.

Despite a glimpse of a comeback with Joshua Kimmich's goal before halftime, Bayern's efforts proved futile. French midfielder Ebimbe capitalised on a counter-attack, exploiting a mistake by Dayot Upamecano to make it four, while Ansgar Knauff added a fifth, sealing the historic win for Dino Toppmioller’s side.

According to reports courtesy of Opta Data, Frankfurt became the first team since 1975 to score five goals against Bayern in the first 60 minutes of a league game.

Marquee forward Harry Kane, who has been involved in 22 goals and seven assists since joining the Bavarian club according to data courtesy of Fotmob, could do little to salvage the situation despite the flurry of chances he was supplied with.

However ahead of the clash against Manchester United, the 30-year-old has taken to social media, breaking his silence about what should be expected ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash.

Kane on the clash against Man United

The former Tottenham forward took to social media to share a post of himself in training. However, his caption appears to be one that would send shivers down the spines of Manchester United fans.

“We know yesterday wasn’t good enough, and full focus now on Tuesday to show the right reaction 💪”

The message from Kane suggests a readiness to overcome the Bundesliga setback and make a statement against Erik ten Hag’s side.

Kane's bold statement on social media aligns with coach Thomas Tuchel's post-match conference, where he expressed the team's intent and determination for the upcoming clash against Manchester United. The Bayern camp seems resolute in bouncing back from their recent setback and making a strong statement in the UEFA Champions League.

Kane joins Ronaldo and Messi's club

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that England's dramatic come-from-behind victory over Italy, which ensured they secured their spot in the upcoming Euros tournament, featured a standout performance from Harry Kane.

The Bayern Munich star, who has been in remarkable form following his move to the Bundesliga club, extended his scoring streak by netting two goals in front of the Wembley crowd.

Kane's double on the night propelled him past Sir Bobby Charlton, making him the all-time leading goal scorer for the England men's team at Wembley, with an impressive total of 24 goals at the national stadium.
