According to Tribal Football, Ter Stegen has missed Barcelona’s last three games because of the problem and decided to opt for surgery to cure the reoccurring back issues.
Barcelona, in a club statement, announced that their German goalkeeper had undergone a successful surgery after it was revealed that Ter Stegen had flown to Bordeaux, France, for the back operation.
The Catalan club did not, however, release how long the 31-year-old goalie will be out for or his recovery plan, although he is expected to miss several weeks of action due to the surgery.
