Hamidou Makalou and Sekou Kone have popped up on the radar of European clubs following their impressive performances at the FIFA U17 World Cup in Indonesia.

The Mali players showed enormous potential as the West African nation finished third at the World Cup.

Makalou, who plays for the Jean-Marc Guillou Academy, also emerged as the second-best player at the tournament following his dazzling displays.

According to Africa Foot, several clubs including Olympique Marseille, Ajax Amsterdam, FC Barcelona, ​​AS Monaco and Red Bull Salzburg are interested in the two players.

However, Red Bull Salzburg are in a pole position to sign the youngsters.

The two players have been offered trials by the club in January with Kone expected to sign for the Austrian giants in February while Makalou pens a deal in the summer transfer window.

Sports Brief also reported that the Son of former Ghana captain and coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor, Charles Kwablan Herrmann has won the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup with Germany.

Kwablan Herrmann played a pivotal role as the Europeans strolled to another championship success after beating France in the final on penalties.

Although the 17-year-old was an unused substitute in the final against Les Bleuets, Kwablan Herrmann made five appearances, scoring a goal and providing two assists.
