FootballGriezmann Surprises Fans As He Names Barcelona Midfield Legend in Ultimate Striker Pick: Video
- FIFA World Cup winner Antoine Griezmann remains one of football's finest forwards
- The Atletico Madrid forward has been in immense form since the start of the season
- The France forward has included a Barcelona midfielder in his ultimate forward list
Antoine Griezmann appears a forward reborn since his return transfer to La Liga club, Atletico Madrid.
The 32-year-old, who previously had a stellar spell with the Madrid-based club, secured a transfer to rival, Barcelona.
Following a less-than-impressive two-year stint at the Catalan giants, Griezmann opted for a return to his old stomping ground, the Civitas Metropolitano.
Since his return, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has been in immense form and involved in over 50 goals, as reported by Whoscored.
The forward's resurgence reached its pinnacle when he was honoured as the La Liga Player of the Month for November.
However, amid his impressive form with Atleti, the former Real Sociedad forward recently discussed his choice of the ultimate forward.
Griezmann names his ultimate forward
Griezmann, who had a quick-fire interview with ESPN UK, named a flurry of players, including former Real Madrid midfielder, David Beckham, to create his ultimate forward.
When given specific qualities to consider, the Atleti forward opted for Beckham for his passing, Cristiano Ronaldo for his strength, Thierry Henry for his speed, Lionel Messi for his technique, Filippo Inzaghi for his finishing, teammate Koke Resurrección for his work rate, and himself for his endurance.
However, the most surprising inclusion was Barcelona legend, Sergio Busquets, who he chose for his intelligence.
Griezmann's selections have sparked a range of reactions, with the midfielder's inclusion generating the most discussion.
Despite Busquets' renowned football intelligence, his pick comes as a surprise, given the forward only racked up 18 goals during his 15-year stint with Barcelona.

Joao Felix slams Griezmann
Sports Brief also previously reported on Barcelona forward, Joao Felix slamming former teammate Griezmann after the French forward’s criticism of him.
He suggested the Portuguese youngster may lack the consistency needed to thrive at Atletico, an issue that plagued him in his four-year stint at the club.
In response, Felix has hit out at the 32-year-old in a recent interview with media outlet Movistar+, amid rumours that the club could accept him returning.
