Man City face Liverpool summit meeting as Everton fight for survival
FootballPep Guardiola Makes Bold Premier League Title Prediction After Man City's Recent Slump
- Man City have recorded three consecutive draws including their latest outing against Tottenham
- The woeful run of results has seen them drop to third in the Premier League table with 30 points
- City will be hoping to return to winning ways when they take on Aston Villa on Wednesday night
Pep Guardiola has backed Manchester City to win their fourth consecutive Premier League title this season despite their recent slump.
City have dropped points three times on the bounce, with their latest outing ending in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.
The reigning English champions were looking to bounce back to winning ways during the weekend cracker, having previously drawn 1-1 with Liverpool.
However, this was not the case as the North Londoners forced them to another draw, with Dejan Kulusevski scoring in stoppage time to ensure the two teams share the spoils, per Sky Sports.
The result saw Man City drop to third in the Premier League standings behind leaders, Arsenal and second-placed Liverpool.
Guardiola backs Man City for glory
Despite City's recent struggles in the Premier League, Guardiola is still confident his side will bounce back and reclaim the title at the end of the season.
Speaking ahead of the Citizens' clash with Aston Villa on Wednesday night, the tactician exuded confidence in his side to wither the current storm.
"But my feeling today is we're going to win the Premier League. People don't believe it already, after three draws, but we feel we're going to do it again - knowing that it is not easy because no team has done it yet [won four in a row]," Pep said via The Mirror.
"The difficulty is there and was last season, but if you ask me today what I'm feeling, we're going to do it again," he added.
