FootballArsenal Star Martinelli Celebrates Late Winner Against Luton With His Father in the Stands
- Declan Rice scored in the last minute to help Arsenal beat Luton Town
- The Premier League newcomers battled against last season's runners-up
- Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli opened the scoring in the first half
Arsenal left it late to beat Premier League newcomers Luton Town in a cracking encounter at Kenilworth Road, thanks to Declan Rice’s last-minute goal.
The Gunners came into the encounter knowing a win would help them go five points clear of second-placed Liverpool, who will travel to Bramall Lane later tonight to take on Sheffield United in Chris Wilder’s first game back in charge.
Luton appeared to be running away with a point before £105 million star Declan Rice came clutch in the last minute, steering a powerful header past Thomas Kaminski from Martin Odegaard’s cross.
Martinelli celebrates with his dad
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka combined for the opening goal, and he further impacted the game before making way for Leandro Trossard in the 64th minute.
The Brazilian attacker had a “perfect night” as he celebrated with his father, who was in the away end at the final whistle and shared the video of the two on his social media pages.
Martinelli, who scored 15 Premier League goals last season, was blamed for Luton's first goal after he left Gabriel Osho unmarked for the corner and failed to contest in the air.
Per Transfermarkt, he has two league goals this season and hasn't been at his best, having also missed three games due to a hamstring injury sustained in the 1-0 win over Everton in September.

Havertz ends goal drought to fire Arsenal into first place
FootballMartinelli celebrates before scoring
Sports Brief previously reported that Martinelli celebrated before scoring Arsenal's fourth goal in last season's 4-2 win over Aston Villa, managed by ex-boss Unai Emery.
The Brazilian was put through on goal after his former teammate and goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez had committed for a corner. He pointed his hands up in celebration before slotting the ball home.
